Laura Fields
Since the situation with Coronavirus has emerged into the world, it has affected every aspect of human life. From sports, tourism, medicine, and all the way to the entire economy, it seems that it leaves an impact more than expected. Because of that, even education systems had to suffer. As a solution to the newly formed problems that the pandemic has brought, educational institutions concluded that eLearning may be the right choice to go on with. The students will not lose their lessons while they will stay safe at the same time. If we put this into consideration, it is clear that allowing eLearning to progress is the exact thing our education needed. With that in mind, let’s see will eLearning become the future of the worlds’ education.

What eLearning Refers To?

Before we dedicate more to the future, let’s clear out the present. Probably there will be people among you that have never encountered the term “eLearning” before. So, we will try to explain it to you first. An eLearning represents a process of learning online. It refers to allowing the students to attend their lessons and classes by using the internet connection. It means that they are able to continue with their education and not lose any lesson even though the pandemic is active.

An eLearning can be interpreted in different ways. Some of them are electronic learning, distance education, etc. The point of this way of learning is to keep the students active in their education and allow them to develop even more. The courses that students take by using this method are often live. They are usually available to the students in the form of applications that imply video chats.

Following The Trends

In the modern age, education systems have developed numerous trends that can influence students’ growth. It has come to the light as a consequence of accreditation and acknowledgment of online certificates nowadays. Linked with it, getting an online grade is something that came to life too. Therefore, there are multiple ways that eLearning can be represented through. Each of them is designed to help students and make their education easier. Along with that, such trends are created to let the students surpass a different stage and learn to cope with different situations. So, let’s check out what those trends are and will they be a true future of our education.

A Gamification - This is a type of eLearning that allows students to learn by playing educational and instructive video games. It is well-known that games are part of every student's hobby and many of them like to spend their free time on them. That is the reason why gamification succeeded to establish as one of the valuable ways of learning for the students. By using the algorithms, gamification can increase students’ perspective, motivation, and productivity.

Virtual & Augmented Reality - The use of virtual and augmented reality is another way that eLearning can be expressed through. Virtual reality is quite similar to gamification though. In it, stimulation of the ambiance is in focus. On the other hand, augmented reality is more focused on the use of data in real-time. It is expressed by utilizing the graphics, audios, and texts and displaying them onto the objects of reality.

Robotics & AI - The use of artificial intelligence as a part of education is growing today. It becomes more and more the case where robots are present in the classroom. However, that doesn’t mean that teachers will lose their purpose, of course. But the build of artificial intelligence into our educational institutions is to cooperate with the teachers and provide some kind of guidance. There are multiple tasks that the robots can do instead of the teachers like giving the grades and evaluating the test results much quicker. It makes their job stress-free and releases them from some obligations so they can stay focused on the key aspects of teachings.

Smart Classrooms - Something that future education will certainly be unimaginable to see without is the smart classrooms. As technology continues to be implemented more in schools and colleges, it is more likely that chalk will be replaced with screens. In the future, eLearning will make students forget the feeling of having white remains from chalk on the fingers. Smart classrooms don’t only imply the use of video displays. It also can be represented by the use of voice recognition. It will allow students to learn faster and boost their development.

Will eLearning Replace Going To Schools?

Something that people often make debates about is the possibility of replacing the common way of going to school with eLearning. When we speak of it, we have to see if it happens. An essay review is a great starting point though. Essays are inseparable parts of todays’ learning and some of them are related to this theme. The truth is that eLearning will probably not replace the top essay writing experience. It is more likely that students will combine those two.

As both approaches have their advantages and proven positive impact on the students’ improvement, it will be a bad decision to erase one. Of course, when an end of this pandemic appears, the students will be back to normal and get to school or college regularly. But that doesn’t mean that eLearning will totally disappear. The students will have to learn how to find a balance between these study approaches.

When the future of education comes into consideration, it is not fair to say that students will stop relying on both of them. The advantages of eLearning and the common way of studying are so visible that simply cannot be disputed. That’s why finding the right balance and combination formula will be the key point of the educations’ future.

Conclusion

An eLearning is something that has brought a lot of positives to the education world. If we just think about what would have happened if we didn’t manage to build it, it sends shivers down the spine. But the question about will it be the future is hard to answer. Although technology never ceases to impress, it is hard to tell at this point how the education systems will adapt to the future offerings. All we can do is sit still and wait to see the outcome.
